With over 18 years of experience in the education/learning sector, I decided to shift gears and focus on something I'm truly passionate about – helping others grow through learning and development, especially within small businesses. I founded L&D Strategic Solutions to address the rising demand for tailored, effective learning strategies. My mission is to empower companies to upskill their employees, keeping them competitive, cultivating a strong organizational culture, and driving the achievement of their strategic goals.

I'm Melissa Wilson. I've always been passionate about learning—it’s been a huge part of my life. I loved school, loved learning new things, and that didn’t stop after high school. It carried into college and followed me through all the careers I’ve had. And yes, I’ve had a few—museum education, instructional design, and even being a chef! But no matter the job, learning has always been front and center for me.
I really believe in lifelong learning—it’s a constant process of picking up new skills and improving. We never truly stop learning, even if we think we have. It’s not just about formal education either; we learn every day in so many ways—at home, running errands, talking to people, and, of course, at work.
What I love most is learning on the job. It’s such a key part of personal and professional growth. When people take the time to learn and improve, they become better versions of themselves. And when that happens, they contribute more to their teams, and ultimately, the whole organization benefits.
What I am really passionate about is helping set up systems and structures that make this kind of growth possible—giving companies and teams the tools to chart their own course forward. That’s what gets me out of bed in the morning: knowing I’m helping people get better at what they do and making a real impact.
I help companies and organizations get their learning and training on track. If they’ve been struggling to get their learning and development programs off the ground, I step in to make it happen. I work with both owners and employees to figure out where they’re at and map out the best path forward for growth and success.
